Product Description

FF type roots flow meter is a kind of high accuracy volumetric flow meter which is developed and manufactured on the basis of a proprietary technology introduced by our factory from Japan TOKICO Machinery Industry Co., Ltd. (TOKICO). It is provided with advantages such as high metering accuracy, high flowrate, smooth running, no pulsation, low noise, good reliability, long life time, easy installation and usage, and features strong capability to prevent blockage of medium containing sand. It is widely used for accurate metering of petroleum and petroleum products as well as chemical solutions, etc. in such industries as petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, power industry, traffic, commerce and trade, etc. In particular, it’s applicable to accurate metering of fluids with large flowrate and high viscosity.

Working Principle

When the liquid measured flows through the metering chamber, a differential pressure is formed between the inlet and the outlet of flow meter, which drives two pairs of rotors rotate (see figure a, b, c and d). Two pairs of rotors are simultaneously driven continuous rotate by a pair of guide gears fixed at rotor. The volume of metering chamber is composed of two “measuring cup” cavities on the upper part and two “measuring cup” cavities on the lower part. Liquid of the volume of eight “crescent” cavities (i.e. fixed capacity) will be sent out at every revolution of waist wheels, therefore the revolution of rotors proportional to the flowrate of liquid measured, and the retarding mechanism will drive the counter and the pointer turning to display the volume flowrate of liquid flowed through the flow meter

Characteristics

● It is provided with advantages of single rotor roots flow meter such as high accuracy, reliable working, and wide applicable range;

● There is no contact and abrasion between two rotors and between rotor and inner wall of metering chamber during working; therefore service life is extended;

● Two pairs of waist wheels with 45 angle operate smoothly, featuring even flow output, low noise and small vibration, and are more applicable to accurate metering of fluids with big flowrate and high viscosity;

● It is applicable to metering of medium containing superfine sand.
